If there’s no joy, there’s no light. Only darkness remains in our heart. But beauty can light up mankind.
The art of rug making has existed in our family since the 1900’s.

My father and grandfather were carpet dealers. I never thought, I’d have to do anything with rugs. I considered studying Chemistry or Art. It was only when I met my husband, a famous carpet collector, that my journey took a shift.
We became adventurers. We began hunting for beauty, travelling thousands of kilometres through the mountains of the Persian southern land in search of the most unique rugs. Beauty was everywhere; in the people, in the landscape, and in the art.
Nomads of the old Persia were involved more in the rug artistry for their personal needs- a romantic gesture made from a wife to her husband, a wedding gift or a rug made for a new-born child. Most themes rooted from pre-Islamic times, but they seemed to have similarities to the work of the impressionistic art from Europe.
